Rachel Adler is Joint Assistant Professor of Modern Jewish Thought and Gender at the School of Religion, University of Southern California and the Rabbinical School , Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion , Los Angeles . She is the author of Engendering Judaism: An Inclusive Theology and Ethics(1998) which won the 1999 National Jewish Book Award in Jewish thought. She is the author of numerous articles.

Elliot N. Dorff is Rector and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Judaism in Los Angeles . He has been a member of the Committee on Law and Standards of the Rabbinical Assembly (Conservative ) since 1985 and currently serves as Vice Chair. He is the author of A Living Tree, the Roots and Growth of Jewish Law(1988) along with numerous other studies.
